Identity protection
In an era when we've grown accustomed to exchanging our personal data for online services, I crafted a tool to help people reclaim control of their stolen data.

With rising demand for consumer privacy tools, I led research efforts to re-introduce the App Privacy feature within McAfee Mobile Security for Android.

I design human-centered solutions for complex problems. My work combines a scientific understanding of human behavior with technology and design thinking. Currently, I craft tools with grassroots organizations to creatively tackle multiple drivers of criminalization and incarceration at the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative.
Previously, I built identity protection and privacy tools at McAfee and delivered industry-leading customer experiences at Collective Health. Before that, I conducted rigorous social science research at Stanford University, where I graduated as a first-generation student.
In the community, I've organized with the Filipino Community Center, National Alliance for Filipino Concerns (NAFCON), and other grassroots organizations to advance immigration reform, education, and environmental justice campaigns.
When I'm OOO, you'll probably find me somewhere outdoors, at the boxing gym, or falling off a cruiser board.

I approach the complexity and messiness of design with research and curiousity to uncover unmet needs, identify patterns, and ultimately gain a clear understanding of the people problem at hand.
I approach the complexity and messiness of design with research and curiousity to uncover unmet needs, identify patterns, and ultimately gain a clear understanding of the people problem at hand.
Keeping the people problem in mind and embracing constraints, I collaboratively generate creative concepts to qualitatively test and quantitatively validate with people. Through repeated cycles of rapid experimentation, iterations eventually converge into a prototype validated by people's behavior and feedback.
With a validated prototype, I shift gears into developing and delivering a simple, high quality solution. I partner with PMs and engineers to define product requirements, exchange constructive feedback, and implement the solution, continually using prototypes to effectively communicate the experience and test the solution in increasing fidelity.

Following implementation, I evaluate the solution using KPIs and metrics informed by original people problem to measure success and identify future opportunities to improve.
